1. What Lifespan Check is
Lifespan Check offers free, browser-based calculators and data pages about life expectancy, longevity and related health topics. Results are statistical estimates for education and general interest. They are not predictions of when any individual will die. See our methodology for how estimates are built.
2. Not professional advice
Nothing on the site is medical, health, actuarial, insurance, financial, legal or other professional advice. Do not use our results to make decisions about medical care, insurance, pensions, retirement income or investments without consulting a qualified professional. Please read our Medical Disclaimer.
3. Who can use the site
The site is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please use it only with a parent or guardian.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not misuse the site. That includes trying to disrupt or overload it, accessing it in ways that bypass normal use, scraping it at scale, submitting spam or abusive ratings or comments, or using it for anything unlawful. We may remove ratings or comments at our discretion.
5. Content and data
The site's design, text and code belong to Lifespan Check or its licensors. Statistical data from third parties (for example the US Social Security Administration life tables) remains subject to its own terms and is credited where it is used. 6. Accuracy
We work to keep figures accurate and sourced, and we show the date each data page was last reviewed. Source data can be revised, and errors can occur. If you spot one, please tell us at lifespancheck@gmail.com.
7. Advertising and third-party links
The site is funded by advertising from Google AdSense and links to third-party websites, such as government statistics offices and research journals. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products or privacy practices. An ad on our site is not an endorsement.
8. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lifespan Check and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any decision made in reliance on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
