About Lifespan Check
Lifespan Check is a free website of calculators and data pages about life expectancy and healthy ageing. It is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
What we do
We turn public statistics into tools you can use: a life expectancy calculator, related estimates such as biological age and heart age, and data pages like life expectancy by age and the odds of living to 90. Calculations run in your browser, so your answers stay on your device.
How we work
- Public, named sources. Baselines come from official statistics, for example the US Social Security Administration's period life tables. Lifestyle effects come from published research. Each data page names its sources and the date it was last reviewed.
- Transparent methods. Our methodology page explains how estimates are built and what they leave out.
- Honest framing. Our results are educational estimates, not medical advice or predictions. See the Medical Disclaimer.
Our editorial policy sets out how we choose sources, review pages and handle corrections.
Who writes the content
Pages are produced by the Lifespan Check editorial team. We do not currently have a medical reviewer, and we do not claim that our content is medically reviewed. When that changes, reviewers will be named on the pages they review.
How the site is funded
Lifespan Check is free to use and is funded by advertising through Google AdSense. Advertisers do not influence our numbers or content. Read how ads and analytics use data in our Privacy Policy.
Corrections
If you find an error, an outdated figure or a broken source link, email lifespancheck@gmail.com with the page address. We review every report and update the “last reviewed” date when we correct a page.
